Be in wood company
March 29 marks the opening day of a new exhibit at the Foothills Art Center: “Splinter! Colorado Wood Today” showcases works in wood by local artists and artisans including Susan Cooper, Leo Franco, Jon Garcia, Bob Gray and others. Hours of the exhibit, continuing through May 18, are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. A panel discussion, “Mastering the Media: New Possibilities in Wood,” is April 12 at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 adults, $3 seniors age 65 and over, free for youth under 17, center members and students with I.D.
