
No, drill sergeant. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to the Conoco Gas Station, 4053 Evergreen Parkway, Evergreen, March 28 when Stewart called police because Bill slapped him. Bill told deputies Stewart lost his phone while moving his belongings and he felt he should act like a drill sergeant so he slapped Stewart “because that way he might learn something,” he said.
Quesadilla conflict. Deputies went to the 31600 block of Canyon Circle, Evergreen, March 30 where the reporting party told deputies his fianceé slapped and scratched him and threw things when he asked for her engagement ring back during an argument. He said the fight started when she threw a quesadilla at the wall. The woman was arrested for third-degree assault.
Granddaughter scam. A resident of the 4200 block of Troutdale Village Drive, Evergreen, called deputies March 30 to report that someone saying she was the woman’s granddaughter called to say she had arrested. Another woman claiming to be a lawyer requested a MoneyGram. The victim sent the money, but felt scammed. When contacted, the real granddaughter confirmed she was OK.
Accusatory neighbor warned about harassment. A resident of the 2000 block of Crestvue Circle, Golden, called Golden police March 23 to report a rumor that a neighbor shot “the neighborhood fox” because it was eating his chickens. The accused party confirmed he had problems with the fox, but set a trap because killing it is illegal. Another neighbor who accused the man was issued a warning for harassment.
