Snack food thief. On April 17, a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to King Soopers, 8673 Quebec St., where a man stole some toaster strudels and chimichangas. He was stopped by a loss prevention officer, but walked away. He was not found during a search of the area.

License plate theft. On April 17, a deputy was dispatched to a residence for a theft that happened at Diamond Shamrock, 8071 Blakeland Drive, where a man believes his license plate on his trailer was stolen while he waited in line to pay for gas.

Tech theft. On April 17, a deputy responded to Hope Online Learning Center, 373 Inverness Parkway, Suite 205, where someone stole $158 in petty cash and three flash drives. The room could be accessed only by a key card.

Signs stolen. On April 17, a deputy responded to the area of Lucent Boulevard and Plum Valley Lane, where someone stole four construction signs totaling $617. No other construction companies had moved the sign.

Mailbox mischief. On April 16, a deputy was dispatched to the 8300 block of Harvest Lane, where someone had pried open mailboxes and broke six locks. It was estimated to cost between $10-$50 to replace the locks. It was unknown if there was mail stolen.

Locker thefts. On April 15, a deputy took a call for a crime that happened at the Recreation Center at Northridge, 8801 S. Broadway, where a man and his friends put their belongings in an unlocked locker before swimming and playing basketball. They later discovered their cellphones had been taken from the locker.
