
1 Witness prevents stop-sign theft. A witness called Denver Police on April 19 after he or she noticed four individuals attempting to pull a stop sign out of the ground near South Pearl Street and East Tennessee Avenue. The witness was able to retrieve the sign from the suspects, who then fled the scene.
2 Suspect banned from hotel after causing disturbance. A man was observed causing a disturbance April 21 in the parking lot of the Airway Motel, 8339 E. Colfax Ave. Denver Police contacted the suspect, who was shouting loudly and acting erratically. Police contacted the manager, who said the suspect is not a guest and wanted him banned.
3 Man escapes robbery attempt at bus stop. On April 20, a man called Denver Police after he was assaulted at a bus stop near West Evans Avenue and South Clay Street. The victim told police that two men approached and tried to take his headphones off his head. They then began punching him, but he was able to hold on to his stuff.
4 Suspect returns to hotel to throw bricks. On April 19, a Denver Police officer was called to Embassy Suites, 7525 E. Hampden Ave., after a man threw two bricks through windows. An employee told police that the suspect was causing a disturbance and was asked to leave the hotel. He returned shortly after and broke the windows.
5 Students suspended for fighting at West High School. A school resource officer at West High School, 951 Elati St., responded to a fight April 16 between two females at the school. Both girls were suspended.
