1 Thief knows bikes. An employee of Golden Bike Shop, 722 Washington Ave., called Golden police April 13 to report the theft of two front rims and tires stolen from customers’ bikes parked in front of the shop awaiting repair. The employee said the stolen parts were the most valuable of the 95 bicycles, indicating the suspect had good knowledge of bicycles.

2 Suspicious note. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies went to Evergreen Lake House, 29614 Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, April 17 after a man reported being handed a suspicious note while operating a slide projector during a recent town hall meeting. He read the note after the presentation. It read, “To Bad You Do not Talk About Sisterns And Spraying Water on & Fire Retardant Structures on The Outside Not Just The Inside Very Very Very Very Very [expletive] Lame.” The note was submitted with a case report.

3 Sneaky thefts. A woman went to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s mountain substation, 4990 Highway 73, Evergreen, April 18 to report that personal “trinkets” had been going missing from her belongings as she moved into her new apartment in the Evergreen area. Building management has changed her locks multiple times, but the thefts persist.

4 Abandoned camper. Deputies made plans April 15 to remove an abandoned camper parked in the 27100 block of Kennedy Gulch Road, Conifer.
