Three students at Weld Central High School are in police custody after the sheriff’s office was alerted to a potential threat of violence at the school.
On Monday, deputies and detectives at the Weld County Sheriff’s Office were alerted to a threat at Weld Central in Keenesburg, said Steve Reams, bureau chief for the sheriff’s office.
“The tip came in through a student who wasn’t involved,” Reams said. “They had what you’d call a suspicious inkling, and they reported it to an adult at the school.”
