Approximately 1,000 people are expected to show up Sunday for Denver’s Walk for Israel event commemorating the 66th anniversary of the independence of the Jewish state.
The walk begins at 2:30 p.m. at JCC Denver, 350 S. Dahlia St. Participants are encouraged to arrive at 2 p.m.
The two-mile walk will end at the Denver Academy of Torah, 6825 Alameda Ave.
There will be free food, a bonfire and music at the end of the walk and shuttles will be provided for those needing to get back to their cars at the JCC.
