South Ward Street west of South Simms Street will reopen this fall, four months after it was supposed to, Jefferson County announced this week.
Century Communities, the d , ran into problems with utility work, expansive soils and a wetter-than-usual spring. The new reopening date for the road is Sept. 1.
The area provides access to the Foothills Park & Recreation District’s campus, including its golf course, ice rink and recreation center.
