1 Teens suspected in property damage. Employees at Westport Apartments, 5370 Allison St., called Arvada police on May 22 to report that fence boards surrounding the property had been kicked out. They believe juveniles had damaged the fence to create shortcuts across the property. Police observed two teenage girls climbing the fence; the girls denied breaking the boards.

2 Men argue over concrete. Police were called to the 9000 block of West 73rd Place in Arvada on May 22 after a man reported a homeowner had screamed and assaulted him over a disagreement about concrete work done on the property. The homeowner was cited for harassment.

3 Man rages on driver. Arvada police issued a harassment summons on May 22 to the driver of a Ford pickup who was driving aggressively in the area of West 72nd Avenue and Ward Road. The man allegedly threw the driver of another vehicle to the ground when he was confronted.

4 Drive-by punching. A man reported to police that he had been assaulted on May 27 in the area of Kipling Street and West 70th Place, Arvada. The man said he had followed an aggressive driver to his neighborhood. When he drove by the suspect’s house, he was punched in the face.

5 Dog left in hot car. A woman was issued a summons for animal cruelty on May 28 after she left her dog in a locked car for more than an hour in a parking lot at 12500 W. 58th Ave. Firefighters freed the dog, and the car temperature registered 127 degrees. The woman said she was from New York and would have her lawyers talk to the police.
