A controversial $1.8 billion plan that calls for replacing an existing viaduct by running 10 lanes of below-grade between Brighton and Colorado boulevards will be the focus of a live telephone town hall on June 25.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be hosted by the Colorado Department of Transportation and the High Performance Transportation Enterprise, which is an arm of CDOT.

Representatives from CDOT and the city and county of Denver will take join in the call. Participants can discuss and learn more about the proposed project.

Listeners also will hear about innovations in transportation funding and project delivery; how CDOT plans to expand public engagement; and the future of public-private partnerships.
