With ‘s new album “Ultraviolence” available online today, she’s celebrated by sharing the video for “Shades of Cool.”
The “Shades of Cool” video uses a similar vintage vibe as her recent release, but takes a Nabakovian turn, showing a love affair between Lolita-esque Lana and an older, blue-haired, Jeremy-Irons-type. All said and done, the video strikes the balance of creepy and avant-garde, Also, in her typical style, Lana mopes around really wealthy areas of L.A. This time, she’s even in some sort of 3D hologram form. One more key feature of this video: Lana smoking a cigarette while biting into a strawberry…
So far, “Ultraviolence” received mixed reviews. at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. See pictures of the performance below:
