Fire crews in Huerfano County battled a small wildfire in rugged terrain about 10 miles northwest of Walsenburg.
The blaze, which has been labeled the Black Hills fire, was spotted around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, according to the Huerfano County Office of Emergency Management. The fire, which did not threaten any structures, was contained by mid-evening.
The Huerfano County Fire Department, LaVeta Fire and Upper Huerfano County Fire all battled the wildfire.
The cause of the fire is unknown, according to a news release.
