
1 Vandal destroys grass. A homeowner in the 7000 block of Quay Street, Arvada, said that between June 3-6, an unknown substance was poured on her front lawn in an attempt to write a name or word. She said the lawn would have to be resodded.
2 Street sign stolen. A street sign marked “Zang Ct” was cut down and stolen on June 11 in the 13000 block of West 63rd Avenue.
3 Lawn gnome missing. A foot tall, multi-colored lawn gnome wielding a hammer in one hand and a ball in the other was reported stolen from a yard in the 6700 block of Eaton Street on June 12. A cowboy hat with a rattlesnake wrapped around it was also missing.
4 Man unleashes anger on van. Two people called police June 12 to report that a white male described as a “jarhead” had smashed two windows of a Kwal Paint van with a rock at 5220 Wadsworth Blvd. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
5 Hit and run. A driver reported being pursued aggressively by the driver of a late 90’s silver Mustang in the area of West 84th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard on June 13. She was rear-ended and the Mustang drove off. Officers observed old paint scratches on the rear of the vehicle, which the driver insisted were new. No further damage was reported.
