Getting your player ready...

There are too many neighborhood ponds to list here, but the reports have been excellent for bluegill fishing. A bobber and worm is often all you need, but fly and bubble rigs are effective. For largemouth, Seinko worms (or similar plastics) and top water lures early and late have been producing well. Smallmouth bass have been active at Chatfield, Aurora, Bear Creek and Horsetooth Reservoirs. The early mornings are great for top water. Trout anglers will do best in the rivers and creeks at this time. Rocky Mountain Park waters, Estes Lake and Red Feather area lakes have been producing well and offer a great getaway from the recent high temperatures. Dave Coulson,
