Saint Pepsi (aka musician Ryan DeRobertis) announced the news this week with the release of “Fiona Coyne.” Driven by a funky guitar line and Daft Punk-esque disco, “Fiona Coyne” draws similarities to other Carpark artist Toro Y Moi. Since releasing the track on Tuesday, it has received attention from Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, The Fader and even Annie Clark (the actress who played Fiona Coyne on “Degrassi”).

Starting as a songwriting and production project in 2012, Saint Pepsi pepsi released his album “Hit Vibes” in May of 2013 on Keats//Collective. With the popularity of “Hit Vibes,” Saint Pepsi began shopping around labels, eventually settling with Carpark, which also is home to Beach House, Cloud Nothings, Dan Deacon, Speedy Ortiz and Teen.

Saint Pepsi’s 7-inch with “Fiona Coyne” and “Fall Harder” is due out on Aug. 12. He will continue to release music with Keats//Collective.
