
1 Pellet gun fired. Arvada police were sent to the 10000 block of Ralston Road on June 28 on reports of two men hiding behind vehicles with a black assault rifle. Officers heard the rifle fire and ordered the men on the ground. The men were placed in handcuffs, and they told officers were test firing a pellet gun. One of the men said he was from Ukraine and didn’t know it was illegal to fire pellet guns in the city. He was issued a citation for throwing missiles.
2 Open container in Snake Park. An officer on foot patrol issued an open container summons to a man in Snake Park in the5600 block of Vance Street, Arvada, on June 27.
3 False accusation in hit-and-run. Homeowners accused a paper delivery driver of hitting their son’s parked vehicle in the 7100 block of Fig Street, Arvada, on June 28. Police determined the damage could not have come from the driver’s vehicle. The homeowners said their son was going through a hard time and they may have “overreacted” with the accusation.
4 Man robbed. An intoxicated man told police he had been robbed by two Hispanic males who offered to sell him drugs on June 30 near West 58th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard in Arvada. The man said they assaulted him and took $80.
5 Hit-and-run. A woman in the 160000 block of West 62nd Drive, Arvada, found the front end of her parked rental vehicle smashed in on July 2. She had no insurance for the vehicle, and no suspect was identified.
