Denver was hotter than average Monday but the warm temperatures fell short of setting any records.

The National Weather Service reported a high of 95 degrees at Denver International Airport, compared with the record of 104 degrees set in 2005.

Temperatures are expected to cool down a bit later in the week, dropping to the lower 90s, but will remain above average. The normal temperature during this time is 90 degrees.
