
1 Jumping dog. A resident in the 7300 block of Oneida Street in Commerce City called police because his neighbor’s dog was jumping the backyard fence and running around the neighborhood July 14. The owner was ticketed.
2 Caught pants down. Police were called to Romantix at 4810 Pontiac St., Commerce City, because a man was sitting in his car in the parking lot, masturbating while people walked by. An officer found the man as he was trying to pull up his pants. He was arrested July 13.
3 Out of sight, out of mind. A police officer patrolling the intersection of Lima Circle and Eagle Creek Circle in Commerce City saw an abandoned truck that had been broken into July 12. There were boxes of clothes and furniture that were picked through and thrown in the street. The officer found out the property belonged to a man who was recently incarcerated.
4 On the run. A man was arrested for having active warrants and taking money from his girlfriend after he ran from police July 12. Officers responded to a call from the suspect’s girlfriend and found him walking in the 6200 block of East 72nd Avenue in Commerce City. They had to chase him out of a field and tase him before he was caught.
5 Follow the fireworks. A police officer drove in the direction of airborne fireworks in the 9700 block of Columbine Court in Thornton on July 4. The officer found two men in the middle of the street, lighting the fuse on a 3-foot-tall rocket. The suspects saw the patrol car and tried to hide in a nearby house, but they were cited.
