
1 Golf cart joy riding. A security guard at Rocky Mountain Recycling, 6510 Brighton Blvd., Commerce City called police Aug. 1 because five boys broke into the property and commandeered a golf cart. They jumped over the fence when the security guard approached them, and police caught them down the road.
2 The bathroom was closed. A patrolling officer ticketed a man for urinating in public outside Platinum 84, 8485 Umatilla St., Federal Heights. The suspect told the officer that the bar was closed, so the parking lot was the only toilet he could find July 19.
3 No good deed. Police were called to the 1600 block of West 85th Avenue, Federal Heights because a man’s home was burglarized July 23. The man said he let a homeless couple stay in his house the night before, and when he came home from work the next day, several of his pocket knives, gold rings and medications were missing.
4 Parking lot beers. A police officer ticketed two men for drinking beer in the parking lot of Platinum 84 at 8485 Umatilla St., Federal Heights. The suspects tried to dump out the beers when the officer approached July 20.
5 Running lights. A man on a black Harley Davidson motorcycle ran a red light in front of a police officer at the intersection of East 56th Avenue and Quebec Street, Commerce City. The speeder ran two more red lights and got away.
6 Stolen plates. An employee of Big L. Insulating at 3975 E. 57th Ave., Commerce City called police Aug. 1 because someone stole the license plates of some of the company cars. There are no suspects.
