1 Carrabba’s cusser. A 37-year-old Ohio man was arrested July 30 for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness outside of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 14760 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood. The man was standing outside the restaurant cussing at guests as they exited the building. Police found a nearly empty bottle of sauvignon in the man’s backpack. The man shouted obscenities and spit at officers as well.

2 Fast-food freak-out. On Aug. 7, Edgewater police officers responded to McDonald’s, 1701 Sheridan Blvd., regarding a man who had barricaded himself inside a stall in the restroom. He was yelling at officers that people were following him and that he was armed with a firearm. He admitted he had recently used methamphetamine and threatened to kill others in the restaurant, including the officers, and himself with the firearm. The officers evacuated the restaurant, and the man ultimately surrendered. He was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.

3 Fake masseuse. A Lakewood police officer conducted an undercover investigation at Best Massage, 7043 W. Colfax Ave., on July 31 after an anonymous caller reported a “very young looking” woman was working at the business. The officer determined the woman was providing massages without being a licensed massage therapist. She was issued a summons.

4 Honda stolen in Edgewater. Sometime between July 31 and Aug. 4, a 1997 Honda Accord was stolen from the 1800 block of Depew Street in Edgewater. At this time, there are no suspects and the vehicle has not been recovered.
