Last night, , Cat Power, Fiona Apple and others performed at LA’s Orpheum Theatre for Echo In The Canyon, a concert celebrating the 50th anniversary of folk music in Southern California.

Each artist was tasked with covering a classic Southern California folk band from the era. Jakob Dylan joined Beck for his take on the Byrd’s “Goin’ Back” and “The Bells of Rhymney” before joining Cat Power for a take on the Turtles’ “You Showed Me” and the Association’s “Never, My Love.”

A tribute album featuring last night’s performance’s artist (which also included and Regina Spector) is planned for 2016. You can listen to that album’s studio version of Cat Power and Jakob Dylan’s rendition of the Turtles’ “You Showed Me” .
