COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — The 17-year-old driving the car that crashed while speeding in Black Forest, killing two teens, this week is due in court.

The Gazette (http://bit.ly/1qBMgsd ) reports that Magistrate Jeffrey Saufley will consider whether to charge him as a juvenile or an adult during Friday afternoon’s hearing.

The Colorado State Patrol says the teen had been drinking and was going 80 mph, twice the speed limit, when it went airborne three times, rolled down an embankment and crashed into trees early Monday morning.

Beau Beiger and Ryan Pappas, both seniors and athletes at Palmer Ridge High School, were killed. A third passenger, 17-year-old Jack Mitchell Clark, was injured.
