Annabel Bowlen and the Bowlen family are taking it upon themselves to combat Alzheimer’s.
The Alzheimer’s Association is putting on an event, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, on Saturday, Sept. 20 at Denver City Park.
Annabel Bowlen, wife of Broncos’ owner Pat Bowlen, and Bowlen family members have formed their own team for the walk: Team Super Bowlen. So far the Bowlen team has raised nearly $15,000 – and thatap before the Broncos have made their donation.
Annabel and the Bowlen family will participate in the walk. Annabel will cut the ribbon for the ceremonial start of the walk at 8:50 a.m. The 5K run begins at 8 a.m. with the walk starting at 9 a.m.

Pat Bowlen is in his 31st season as Broncos owner. Prior to training camp, it was announced Bowlen has stepped back from his role with the team to focus on his battle with Alzheimer’s.
