Interview with Cameron Horan, president
Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I purchased the business earlier this year with my business partner, Ed Rapp, CEO.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: The quality and innovation in the products we sell from Octane, Vision, Matrix, Lifefitness, Waterrower and our many other products sets us apart, as well as our commitment to service that goes beyond the initial sale. We have an exclusive focus on Colorado for both retail and commercial markets for specialty fitness equipment.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Being able to help people achieve their fitness goals with the best fitness equipment for home and gym available in Colorado.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: As in any business that is growing quickly, scaling the business for growth is our biggest challenge. As we grow our team and capabilities, ensuring that we maintain our standards for service and innovation are critical — and challenging.
Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: The effort and thought it takes to find, select and source the most productive and innovative exercise equipment is a significant task. At first blush, people may think that all treadmills or ellipticals are pretty much the same — that isn’t the case. The quality and innovation of our products makes a huge difference in the longevity of the equipment, quality of the workout and our customers’ satisfaction.
