BOULDER — After entering the season with much hoopla, Colorado redshirt-freshman receiver Bryce Bobo was shut out in the season opener against Colorado State.
Last weekend in the game against Massachusetts, Bobo made amends by catching five passes for 54 yards.
“He’s a bigger body (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) who has a big target area and can run,” CU coach Mike MacIntyre said Wednesday. “He can stretch the field. And he blocks well. A couple of those screens, he blocked well on the edge and helped us.”
Bobo was one of the standouts of CU’s spring game so much was expected. Nobody could have anticipated that he would finish the opener against CSU without a catch.
“Bryce always plays hard,” MacIntyre said. “The hard thing about being a receiver is the ball doesn’t always come your way.”
