An on-duty Commerce City police officer was injured overnight after rolling a marked cruiser in a construction area.
The Commerce City Police Department said the incident happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 11200 block of E. 104th Avenue as the officer was making a routine response to provide cover to another officer, but lost control of the vehicle, rolling it onto the driver’s side.
The officer, who was not identified, was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
The crash is under investigation.
