Peyton Manning doesn’t mess around on the field. That much, we all know. But he’s also not one to lose his temper ().

But in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs, Manning lost it. Broncos tight end Julius Thomas, who was named the this past week and is off to a roaring start to the season, ran the wrong route. And Manning wasn’t having it.

The Broncos were at the Kansas City 45-yard line on 3rd-and-5 with 19 seconds left in the quarter. Instead of running on the outside and along the sideline to draw a pair of defenders toward him and clear a path for Demaryius Thomas, Julius ran a pick play. As a result, Demaryius was crowded by defenders and gained only a yard on the play, and the Broncos ended up punting.
