Adams County residents can get rid of any unused or leftover chemical products on Saturday at the 2014 Adams County Household Chemical Roundup.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Thornton IMC Facility, 12450 Washington St. in Thornton. Substances being accepted include cleaners, paints, thinners and pesticides.
The event is open to residents of Brighton, Commerce City, Federal Heights, Thornton and unincorporated Adams County and participants are asked to bring a utility bill or driver’s license to verify their addresses.Westminster and Aurora have their own disposal programs.
A $25 donation is requested to offset the high cost of hazardous waste disposal. For more information on the roundup, call 720-200-1592.
