Four people were arrested Tuesday morning in a disturbance at a southwest Denver school where a security guard was injured.
The incident happened about 7:35 a.m. in a parking lot at Summit Academy, 3001 S. Federal Blvd., on the Loretta Heights campus, Denver police said.
Four people in a vehicle caused a “disturbance” at the school and were told to leave, said police spokesman Ron Hackett.
The driver of the vehicle hit several other vehicles during the incident, Hackett said, and also ran over the foot of a Denver Public Schools security guard.
When the suspect vehicle came to a final stop, the four inside ran from the scene.
The three males and a female were caught nearby and taken into custody.
They were being held on suspicion of multiple crimes, including leaving the scene of an accident, trespassing and failure to obey a police command, Hackett said. The driver may also face a vehicular assault charge.
