1 Bank worker falls asleep with hands full. On Sept. 4, just before midnight, a Lakewood police officer found a man asleep inside a running van in front of Chase Bank, 12860 W. Alameda Ave. The man had a shooter of Wild Turkey in one hand and a 24-ounce can of Budweiser in the other. He said he had fallen asleep after his shift of cleaning inside the bank. He was arrested for violating a protection order.

2 Revelers elude police. At about 11:30 p.m. Sept. 3, Lakewood police officers responded to the 900 block of South Coors Drive, where a group of people were standing next to two vehicles, partying and making a lot of noise. When the officers approached, they jumped into the vehicles and started to drive off. One of the vehicles was stopped a short distance away after colliding with a fire hydrant. Three subjects were arrested on various charges.

3 Assault in progress. On Sept. 14, Edgewater police officers responded to a possible fight at a residence in the 2600 block of Kendall Street. Relatives of the woman involved arrived at the location and assaulted the man involved. Two men were arrested for second-degree assault.

4 Boyfriend arrested for assault. On Sept. 2, Edgewater police officers arrested a man for third-degree assault, violation of a protection order, misdemeanor menacing and domestic violence during an incident in the 2400 block of Pierce Street. The victim, who was hospitalized, reported that her boyfriend repeatedly punched her in the face and head. She sustained minor to moderate injuries to her head.
