An Arvada Police SWAT team is trying to convince a man holed up in a home to come out after a domestic violence incident this morning.

“We have a domestic violence situation turned into a standoff. There’s no hostages, he let the woman out,” said police spokeswoman Jill McGranahan.

The incident began about 6 a.m., when someone called police. SWAT was deployed at about 8 a.m. in the 6300 block of Quail Street.

Police tried to contact the man, ” but they couldn’t so they called SWAT,” McGranahan said.

The address is near Arvada West High School.
