A police standoff is over, and a suspect in custody, after an Arvada SWAT unit barricaded a home that was the site of a domestic violence incident Sunday.
The incident began about 6 a.m., when someone called police . SWAT was deployed at about 8 a.m. in the 6300 block of Quail Street.
Police tried to contact the man, ” but they couldn’t so they called SWAT,” McGranahan said.
The man allowed the woman who was in the home to leave, but wouldn’t come out, McGranahan said.
Police tweeted that the incident was over at 8:49 a.m. “He just gave himself up,” McGranahan said.
