Two women were killed and two children injured in a crash Tuesday in Longmont.
Longmont police officials said an investigation has begun into the accident.
A Longmont police spokesman said it appeared that one of the vehicles may have been driving the wrong way.
The accident occurred around 3 p.m. near a driveway that opens onto the eastbound lane of 17th Street, west of Gay Street, the Times-Call reported. The accident was a head-on collision and did not appear to have anything to do with the nearby driveway, he said.
According to police, one of the drivers died at the scene, the other at Longmont United Hospital.
The two children in one of the vehicles appeared to have minor injuries, police said.
