Four people were taken a local hospital Thursday after an early morning house fire in Brighton.
the fire happened at a house near the intersection of North 13th Avenue and Strong Street about 3:30 a.m. and was under control within 15 minutes.
Firefighters rescued one person from the blaze, according to Chief Mark Bowdane.
All four people sent to the hospital were described as having “non life-threatening” injuries, Bowdane said, adding that the fire began in a bedroom and that there were eight people inside of the home.
The fire was extinguished by 5:45 a.m, officials said.
It wasn’t clear what started the blaze. Bowdane said fire investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
