Denver weather buffs will be on watch Thursday as the temperature is expected to climb near a record high under sunny skies.
The National Weather Service said the mercury is expected to climb to 88 degrees in Denver on Thursday. That’s three degrees shy of the record for Sept. 25, set in 1998.
Winds are expected to be calm in Denver on Thursday, the weather service said.
Tonight, the low is expected to reach 56 degrees with mostly clear skies.
On Friday, the temperature could climb to 90 degrees, which would tie a record high for that date.
