Adaptive Adventures Challenge Tour Colorado

Oct. 4: Adaptive Adventures presents the annual charity ride (formerly “Jam the Damz”) open to cyclists of all ages and abilities with distances ranging from 10K to 100K with varying start times. Oct. 11: The Foundation Fighting Blindness presents the ninth annual benefit for those with blinding retinal degenerative diseases. 9 a.m. registration, 10 a.m. walk begins. Denver Free to Breathe Run/Walk

Hot Chocolate 15K/5K

Oct. 5: RAM Racing presents the first race of the series beginning and ending at Civic Center Park. 5K start time is 7 a.m., 15K starts at 7:50 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver or any charity the participant chooses. Participants receive a Finisher Mug with hot chocolate at the finish line, snacks and music with a DJ. 15K finishers also receive a medal. The next race in the series is Nov. 9 in Chicago. Run the Rocks 5K Run/Walk

Oct. 12: The eighth annual benefit for the American Lung Association in Colorado. 8 a.m. registration, 9:30 a.m. start time. $40, $45 on race day, $15 for ages 12 and under. Registration and the start line is in the Upper North Lot of Red Rocks and the run/walk finishes in the amphitheater. “Fun on the Plaza” follows with music, food and more. 18300 W. Zumba for a Cause
