Broomfield police is seeking a man in connection to a hit-and-run collision that left one person seriously injured.

According to police, Alec Anthony Renteria, 22, was driving an Acura TL at Wadsworth Parkway and West 116th Circle at about 10:12 p.m. on Sept. 10 when he failed to stop at a red light and collided with a Honda.

Police said Renteria ran from the scene.

A warrant has been issued, police said, charging him with vehicular assault, hit-and-run involving serious bodily injury, reckless driving, driving while license is revokes for alcohol and possession of a controlled substance.

Renteria is described by police as a Hispanic male, 5-foot-9, approximately 155 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos on his arm, chest and right forearm.
