DEER TRAIL, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say a man has been killed after he drove the wrong way on Interstate-70 east of Denver and collided nearly head-on with a sport-utility vehicle and then hit a tractor-trailer.

KCNC-TV reports the wreck occurred Saturday night near Deer Trail, about 50 miles east of downtown Denver.

The Colorado State Patrol says the driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. Officials say the tractor-trailer driver wasn’t seriously hurt.

No names have been released.
