Police in Broomfield arrested a man on Friday in connection with a September hit-and-run that left one person with serious injuries.
Alec Anthony Renteria, 22, faces charges of vehicular assault, hit-and-run involving seriously bodily injury, reckless driving, driving while license revoked for alcohol and possession of a controlled substance, police said Monday.
On Sept. 10, police responded to an accident at Wadsworth Parkway and West 116th Circle where Renteria’s Acura allegedly ran a red light and slammed into a Honda.
Renteria fled on foot after the accident, police said, leaving the seriously injured Honda driver.
Renteria is being held at the Broomfield County jail.
