Investigators in Jefferson County released photographs Wednesday of a man and woman who are suspected of breaking into vehicles and stealing items, including the and department identification.

Three vehicle break-ins and thefts of items happened in the early morning hours of Sept. 30, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The suspects were captured by surveillance cameras after using credit cards stolen from vehicles.

The theft of the officer’s weapon happened in the same area and about the same hour in the morning.

The male suspect is wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and baseball cap turned backwards and may have a tattoo on the inside of his right bicep, the sheriff’s office said. The woman has reddish brown hair and was wearing gray pants, a dark jacket and white tennis shoes.

Both suspects were seen driving in a white Jeep Cherokee.

If anyone recognizes the man or woman in the photographs they are asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 303 271-5612.
