Officials in Colorado Springs say a woman was killed after becoming trapped between two train cars at an industrial complex where she worked on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened about 12:30 p.m. in the southern part of the city off the 3200 block of Astrozon Boulevard, according to Captain Steve Oswald of the Colorado Springs Fire Department.
Oswald called the death an “industrial accident.”
Colorado Springs Police, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the woman’s death.
Oswald said the woman’s identity would not be released until notification of next of kin.
Officials are still working to determine what business in the industrial complex the woman, who was pronounced dead when emergency responders arrived, worked for.
