Part of what buyers love about Stapleton is the ‘new urban’ planning — creative ways of configuring neighborhoods and giving them walk-to access to parks, shopping and dining. No other builder is a better match for that originality than David Weekley Homes, with a neighborhood in Stapleton’s Conservatory Green that has been an absolute hit for its blend of attainably priced Paired Homes and single-family Cottages – 76 sold now since Conservatory Green opened.

That leaves only eight remaining opportunities to get David Weekley’s value matched to Conservatory Green’s amenities – including Spinning Spoke Park, a kids-oriented neighborhood park that blends the best features of Denver’s historic neighborhoods with Stapleton’s new-urban planning; one that’ll be right next to those final David Weekley homes. Just as in older areas like Wash Park, David Weekley’s designs in Conservatory Green all have alley-load garages. “That not only gives us a prettier streetscape, but we kept noticing that families were using the alley areas to get together,” notes David Weekley’s Stapleton rep Carol Moerman.

That’s led Stapleton to design Spinning Spoke Park directly adjacent to the back alley that joins the backyards of Weekley’s Conservatory Green homes – giving families picnic sites, barbecue pits, a kids’ bike raceway, and unique ‘edible’ landscaping. That’s in addition to the close proximity of Conservatory Green’s other walkable attractions – taverns and eateries like La Sandia, Bar Louie, Tipsy Cupcakes and Cold Stone; not to mention Macy’s and Northfield’s theaters; and Denver’s High Tech Elementary School, right in Conservatory Green.

Meanwhile, buyers like David Weekley’s value on features – every home with slab-granite kitchen and master bath, stainless-gas range and oven, hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room, 42-inch kitchen cabinets, tankless water heating, a 92.5 percent efficient furnace, and 10-foot ceilings even on the bedroom level. “They’re inclusive features that keep you from having to spend $50,000 on upgrades,” Moerman adds.

She’ll show you two homes that can deliver before Christmas, with the park-side access — such as 5059 Akron Street in Stapleton, with four bedrooms plus an office, 3½ baths, and some finished basement space that’s included in the price: Only $462,310. You can tour that home headed for completion, along with David Weekley’s three model homes – one of them a paired home coupling; another a single-family cottage.
And David Weekley has other Stapleton opportunities you can see today, if you can’t pull the switch in time to get one of those final Conservatory Green homes. Moerman can show you new sites in nearby Willow Park East; and you can visit Stapleton’s Bluff Lake, near Bluff Lake Nature Center on the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Trail, where Weekley’s roomy designs (2,100 to 3,800 square feet) include bonus rooms and sundecks.

To reach David Weekley’ models in Conservatory Green from central Stapleton, head east on MLK to Central Park Boulevard, then north a mile-and-a-half on Central Park to Northfield Boulevard, then left a half mile to Uinta, and a block north to E. 49th Place; turn west one block. For Bluff Lake, from the $450s, Ron Mulso has a home nearing completion you can tour at 2863 Lima Street; follow MLK further east, past Havana, to Lima.
