FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — A Loveland man who beat another man to death after the two argued during a bus ride back from a mountain casino town has been sentenced to two to six years in prison.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/1sxNaa6 ) 32-year-old Cory James Nix was sentenced Thursday after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the Feb. 16 death of 41-year-old Billy Kirk Page, of Greeley.
Police say the men got into an argument while on a chartered bus that was transporting passengers from Blackhawk. Nix assaulted Page at a recreation center in Loveland once Page got off the bus.
The Larimer County coroner’s office says Page died from blunt-force trauma.
