The Aurora Police Department has taken a suspect into custody in connection with a Tuesday afternoon shooting.
Earlier, the department was hunting for a Pacific Islander woman dressed in red as a person of interest.
The shooting happened around 1 p.m. on the 300 block of Fulton Street, said Sgt. Chris Amsler, an Aurora police spokesman.
The woman was last seen driving east on East 6th Avenue in a dark green Chevrolet Suburban, Amsler said.
The victim is expected to survive, according to a police department posting on Twitter. No cause for the shooting has been determined, and the case remains under investigation.
The police department did not release the names of the suspect or the victim.
