Colorado is well-represented in the Division II cross country coaches poll, led by No. 1 Adams State University in Alamosa.
The poll, released Oct. 29, also includes the Colorado School of Mines at No. 4 and Western State in Gunnison is tied for No. 5. Colorado Mesa University is No. 23.
In the women’s poll, Adams State is No 2. and Western State is No. 4. The University of Colorado-Colorado Springs is No. 11 and Metro State in Denver is No. 17.
The next coaches polls will be released Nov. 12, after most teams have competed in conference championships. Regional championships are Nov. 22 — with the South Central Regional in Denver’s Washington Park, hosted by Metro State — and the national championships are Dec. 6 in Louisville, Ky.
