Police in Erie are asking for the public’s help as they investigate the burglarizing of six homes overnight Saturday that follows a string of similar mid-August break-ins.
The burglaries happened between Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. when several people entered six homes under construction and caused several thousands of dollars worth of damage.
“Windows and other glass fixtures were shattered, paint was strewn about on flooring causing tiles and carpets to be ruined, cabinets and stair bannisters were destroyed,” police said.
The weekend burglaries happened in the Collier’s Hill neighborhood on the 600 block of Sunup Place and on Sunshine Circle.
The August burglaries also happened at homes under construction, police said.
Those with information about the burglaries are asked to call Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers art 1-800-222-8477.
