Clear winners in Drizly’s election-day promotion were the Democrats, who outnumbered Republicans by a large margin when it came to ordering alcohol from delivery-service Drizly.

Who ordered alcohol on election night

The alcohol-delivery service tracked political parties based on the free-delivery code customers used: RED for Republicans, BLUE for Democrats and PEROT for independent or another party.

What does this all mean? Probably nothing, other than when a company like offers free delivery (typically $5), customers take it up on the offer. Orders were up 100 percent for a Tuesday, compared to the average Tuesday in the past month, the company said.
