1 Man eats hamburgers with alleged assailant. On. Oct. 20, a man reported to Golden police that his friend held two knives to his throat while they were watching the Broncos game at his friend’s house. He said his friend then dropped the knives, said “We cool,” and they ate hamburgers together. Other details, such as location, were unclear.
2 Beer thief caught. On Oct. 21, a beer delivery driver at Evergreen Discount Liquors, 3847 Evergreen Parkway, reported a theft. He said he saw a Jeep parked near his truck and, after the driver sped away, he discovered four cases of Bud Light missing. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies located the Jeep with the missing beer and issued the driver a summons for theft. The beer was returned to the store.
3 Evergreen road rage. A man reported to the Jeffco Sheriff’s office that on Oct. 22, another man assaulted him in the area of South Brook Forest and South Columbine roads, Evergreen. He said he driving behind the man, who made obscene gestures, stopped in front of him, got out of his car, punched him and kicked his car. The other driver was contacted and said he had been tailgated and felt threatened. Since the tailgater was guilty of harassment and the assailant said he’d pay for damages to the car, no charges were filed.
4Get off my driveway. A taxi driver reported that during a pickup, a man came out of a house in the 30000 block of Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen, waving a gun. The driver realized he was at the wrong residence. The man with the gun said he thought his neighbor was in his driveway drunk again.
