family fun: “Yo Gabba Gabba!” sets the stage with live music
saturday. One of the not-so- secret weapons of “Yo Gabba Gabba!” has always been its music. The hip children’s show not only presents numerous dance-worthy interludes during each episode, it also betrays a music critic’s taste for indie rock, punk and hip-hop, with guests such as the Shins, the Roots, the Flaming Lips, Chromeo, Erykah Badu and others gracing its colorful sound stage. That makes the show’s fifth live tour “Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Music Is Awesome” as aptly named as kiddie-entertainment can be. DJ Lance Rock spins tunes while the show’s stars (Muno, Brobee, Foofa, Toodee, Plex) dance alongside guests such as Leslie Hall, Biz Markie and others. Shows take place at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the Paramount Theatre, 1621 Glenarm Place. Tickets: $24-$44. 866-461-6556 or . John Wenzel
