An Evans police detective on Friday interviewed a woman who was the only one left alive after a Weld County .

Police identified the woman, who was flown to Denver Health suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the head, as Natalya Perrin. Perrin, 47, has been answering investigators’ questions.

“At this time, there is no indication that anyone other than the family was in the home during the incident,” police said. “The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.”

Police on Friday said further information on the case was unavailable, adding that investigators from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation were assisting with processing the scene. The Weld County Coroner’s Office has not positively identified the two victims, but neighbors told 7News they were Rick Perrin, 61, a respiratory therapist, and 17-year-old Danika Perrin, a student at Dayspring Christian Academy in Greeley.

According to police, officers and Weld County deputies were dispatched to the 2400 block of Marina Street at about 1:30 p.m. on a welfare check after a man’s employer called, advising that the man had missed work and was having personal issues. When officers arrived, the sheriff’s office said, they found a woman who had severe head trauma. In the residence, they found the two bodies in an upstairs bedroom.
